Well done to all of the winners – there are still a few more which will be announced over the next couple of days.
With the season sadly shortened and the chances of holding an End of Season Party seriously in the balance we decided to start presenting some of the awards for last season.
With the small group sessions proving extremely popular with over 130 members engaging on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings we thought it would be a good idea to present awards to the winners who are attending the sessions regularly.
So….. here we go:
All club members
After careful consideration we have altered the coaching programme for the 2020-2021 season as follows:
Time | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday |
18:00-19:30 | U12 & U14 Boys Tom Wigley (U14), Noah Cooper (U12), Morgan Robertson (U12) | U12 & U14 Girls Simeon Field (U14) Natlie Jupp (U12) | Occasional extra squad sessions and specialist sessions for GK etc. |
19:30-21:00 | Mens 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, U16 Boys Stuart Robertson, Lewis Birch, Simeon Field | Ladies 3s, 4s, U16 Girls Amy Edwards, Hilary Andrews | Ladies 1s, 2s, U16 Girls Jim East |
As you will see we are heavily dependent on club players volunteering to coach so we have had to shift the ladies 3s and 4s to achieve this. We do apologise and thank the ladies for supporting this.
We have moved the Men’s and U12, U14 and U16 boys training due to the links we are developing with Winchester University as this will help increase their participation at training and hopefully throughout our club.
There is an additional session on a Thursday should there be a need for teams to have additional coaching and for specialist sessions for GKs and so on.
Under 16 Girls are able to decide which session they attend based on the senior team they play for and their friendship groups.
We sincerely hope that these changes won’t have a huge impact on you and your family and we look forward to the 2020-2021 season.
Kind Regards
RHC Committee

We don’t have many old club pictures but apparently this is the club’s entry into the town’s 1980 bed race! Does anyone recognise the faces?
Our first small group, socially distanced hockey sessions were a great success this evening- so good to be back on the pitch 👍
SMALL GROUP TRAINING SESSIONS
Following the recent updates from the government and guidance from England Hockey with regards to groups of up to 6 players, social distancing, being allowed to play in the same pitch zone, we are pleased to announce that we will begin to run some small group coached sessions.
The first couple will be taster sessions to gauge demand. If there is enough interest, we will expand the programme and start to run some regular training and free play sessions.
Our very own Tim Bailey will be running our first virtual fitness session next Wednesday evening on Zoom!!
Open to all senior players, the session is suitable for everyone and will help to make sure that we are ready for the season, whenever it starts!
Full details are available on Teamo
Ahead of next week’s AGM please find below and attached various information – agenda, last year’s minutes, details of the Zoom meeting and ‘house rules’ that will hopefully help make things run smoothly.
Not to be outdone the Men’s 4s have completed their own Toilet Roll Challenge!
